Consumables Charge Policy

This voluntary consumables charge will apply to parents who access their funded hours which are paid directly to the preschool by the Local Authority. Unfortunately, they funded hours are lower than our hourly rate and as such do not cover the rising costs of consumables.

The Early Years Entitlement funding is intended to deliver free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to pay for the costs of meals, drinks, snacks, other consumables, extra hours or additional activities.

To help the Preschool remain sustainable, a voluntary consumables charge of £1 per funded session claimed per child.

Families are expected to provide nappies and packed lunches each day.
